Habitat for Humanity is a very large part of our mission activities. Our church is dedicated to raise funds and also help build houses for deserving families. The Carpenter's Helpers is a mission project and partnership of Wheatridge Presbyterian Church and 15 other PCUSA churches in the metro area. -- Contact: Betty Phillips and Galen or Ariane Meyer Wheatridge Presbyterian Church Uplift Internationale or TaghoyOur overseas mission project continues to be "Operation Taghoy". Several of our members were among those who went to the Philippines last year to assist Dr. Jamie Yrastorza, founder & president of "Operation Taghoy" and member of WPC. 2008 marked the 19th year Dr. Yrastorza returned to the Philippines with a team of doctors, nurses and volunteers from across the globe. "Operation Taghoy's" motto is "Mending Faces - One Child at a Time". The program activities have focused on providing care to children born with facial deformities: primarily clefts of the lip and palate. Annually, up to 70 children have become the beneficiary of activities, their faces transformed to normalcy and their lives changed from despair and shame to hope and promise.-- Contact: Betty O'Belmito

Lost and Found is one of WPC's funded missions. Lost and Found is a local Christian Ministry that provides prevention, intervention, and treatment for at-risk kids and families. Lost and Found offers hope, healing and a place to grow for Colorado's "throw away kids." Please contact any one of the mission committee if you would like further information about Lost and Found. strives to make life better and give others a chance to improve their life style. Our goal is to support mission causes at home and overseas. On the home front, we continue to support the Jeffco Action Center, Lost and Found, Senior Support, Friendship Bridge, and the Heifer Project through various fund raisers, food & clothing drives and volunteering. We believe in these charities and the support and security they provide those less fortunate.
